| Description: | In cooperation with the NFL and Host Committee Volunteer Leadership, direct planning and provide management and execution in the following areas and through committees as assigned, including: Volunteer Services Community and Event Décor Directional Signage Community Beautification Official NFL Events Host Committee Events Social Venue Management Plan and manage a comprehensive Volunteer Program for 8000 to 10,000 volunteers (including software needs, job descriptions, recruitment, placement, orientation, job training, uniform distribution systems, communications, and appreciation program.) Interface with all Host Committees to define and fulfill volunteer needs. Manage Community and Event Décor program, including serving as liaison between NFL and Host Committee on city-wide and regional décor plan. Manage needs and inventory for Directional Signage for the event; serving as interface between all Host Committees. Serve as liaison and catalyst for Community Beautification program with downtown businesses and organizations. Provide support for and liaise with NFL to plan and implement Official NFL Events, including Tailgate Party (10,000 people), NFL On-Location Hospitality, NFL Friday Night Party (4,000 people) and others as appropriate. Create and manage all Host Committee Events including Game Day event, Media Party (3,000), and others as appropriate. Build and manage program to for Social Venue Management and Event Sanctioning, including venue inventory, contracts, assignments, and event execution or interface.

| Duties: | · Provide direction and work cooperatively with Host Committee Volunteer Leadership on specifically assigned committees through administrative support, facilitation of meetings, budget management, timeline management and integration of similar planning areas across all other committees. |
| Qualifications: | Experience and history of success in the following areas: Volunteer Management: demonstrated extensive experience in training and directing volunteer groups to meet specific goals while maintaining positive volunteer relationships. Committee or volunteer group management: demonstrated success in directing and facilitating a committee or group process to meet specific goals. Financial management: experience in developing realistic and supportable projections and successfully working with a defined budget. Management experience 5-10 million dollar budgets. Staff management: experience in managing and supervising both staff and interns; demonstrated ability to meet short-term goals with minimal turnover. Project management: demonstrated ability in multiple work experiences to successfully meet project timelines, and adjust to quickly changing deadlines while managing multiple and simultaneous projects. Business/organizational partnerships: experience in developing and facilitating business and organizational partnerships in achieving specific goals. Extensive public speaking and presentations to both large and small groups. Demonstrated knowledge of the Indianapolis area business and civic community, as well as national contacts. Bachelor's Degree with minimum of 10 years professional experience in leading and managing groups and individuals towards goal accomplishment.
Positive Strengths for Consideration: Experienced skill set for operating an organization hosting events owned by national/international entity. Previous not-for-profit experience. Previous large-scale volunteer management experience (programs of 2,000+, 5,000+). Strong relationships in the Indianapolis community. Previous large-scale event planning experiences. Experience managing paid staff and extensive volunteer boards and committees.
Critical skills, knowledge and behaviors: Proven experience in managing an overall process of a committee, including setting and meeting schedules, prioritizing and following up on tasks, and performing responsibilities efficiently and timely (organization and time management.) Demonstrated effective planning skills, both long-term and short-term plans. Ability and desire to be flexible as projects and plans change, including last minute plan renovation. Able to juggle multiple requests and meet multiple deadlines. Effective analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills (can gather and analyze data and information and draw conclusions.) Able to think logically and analytically. High detail orientation and accuracy. Highly effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates strong active listening skills. Can effectively communicate with and establish effective working relationships with a variety of individuals with diverse backgrounds, education and economic levels, including colleagues, clients, volunteer committee members, interns and the general public. Ability to facilitate and build consensus with individuals with differing backgrounds, experiences and philosophies to work toward a common goal. Able to work well in a team environment, work well as part of a team, and develop strong teams. Willing to assist all other areas with any task needed. Demonstrates strong customer service focus and orientation. Self-motivated and enthusiastic. Experience in handling sensitive information in a confidential manner. Willingness and ability to work a demanding schedule, which may include nights, weekends and holidays. High competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint (staffing plan allows very limited administrative support available to assist in workload.) High competency in scheduling and Microsoft Outlook meeting planning. Experience in setting up shared documents and related software.
