IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO KNOW
The response to our limited number of paid staff positions was more than overwhelming, and we have talked with some of the best talent this City and State have to offer. The decisions were always difficult and we wish we had the capacity to hire everyone we considered. However, after an extensive interview process, we have now put together what we believe is a solid team to take us through February, 2012. Beyond the paid positions, the volunteer response has been just as exciting and our committees are hard at work. At this time, new volunteers will go on a waiting list but we hope to have a way to include everyone who wants to be part of this historic and exciting event. We continue to have unpaid Intern positions and those are listed below: Intern Positions The 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee is committed to providing an internship program that offers undergraduate and graduate students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of sports. The program enables students to work on specific projects under direction of the Committee Chairs and Staff Management. The program is tailored to provide the maximum educational benefit to each participant. Most internships are full-time. Internships are available in a variety of divisions including Communications and Marketing, Event Operations, Community Relations, Special Events, and Volunteer Services among others. The application period and internship dates for upcoming opportunities are: Fall 2011 Internships (minimum of 30 hours per week) Application Period: April 2011 - May 31, 2011 Internship: late August 2011 through early 2012 Priority will be given to those applicants who can work through the Super Bowl in February 2012. Assignments may extend over two internship periods in certain circumstances. Internship applications will ONLY be accepted online. We encourage prospective interns to not only consider applying for summer internships but to apply for the fall and spring semesters which will be just as rewarding and less competitive. The ideal intern will be an energetic individual who is willing to do anything asked of them including administrative duties, can work flexible hours and enjoys a fast-paced sports environment. We are willing to work with any level of college students and recent graduates. Thank you for your interest! We have one day to shine – and we will!
